A special investigation team of the police arrested four drug smugglers from Itahari, Sunsari, on Thursday while 10 others were held from Jhapa two days ago.
Police said that Shabbek Chaudhary, 32, of Morang, Narendra Bahadur Karki, 34, Kapildev Yadav, 50, and Bidhyananda Yadav of Sunsari districts were arrested while trading the illegal drug at the bus park area in Itahari.
Earlier on Monday and Tuesday, 10 persons were arrested with drugs, vehicles, mobile phones and cash from Jhapa district.
The police have increased its vigilance after rising incidents of drug smuggling in the eastern region. RSS
