Chure Bhawar demands autonomous state

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Chure Bhawar National Unity Party Nepal has objected to the decision of Constituent Assembly (CA) Committee on State Restructuring and Distribution of State Powers to carve out 14 provinces in the federal setup of the country.



It has accused the CA committee of preparing the federal model by violating the nine-point agreement reached between the erstwhile government and the party in August 2007.



Issuing a statement on Saturday, the party that is represented by a single member in the CA has demanded ´Chure Bhawar Autonomous Province´ covering 36 districts in the region.
