KATHMANDU, March 27: The government has said that as many as 12 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) to bring foreign investments during Nepal Investment Summit 2019.
Talking to media persons after the board meeting of Investment Board of Nepal (IBN) held on Tuesday, Minister for Finance Yuba Raj Khatiwada, however, did not specify the names of investors with whom MoUs are being signed.

The board meeting chaired by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli was a preparatory meeting ahead of the two-day summit that begins on Friday.
As many as 600 foreign investors and delegates will participate in the first of its kind of event organized by the Oli-led government since it came to power in February last year. Likewise, about 400 Nepali delegates will participate in the event.
The government has prepared a list of 50 projects worth US$ 28 billion to attract foreign investment. Similarly, private sector is showcasing another 27 projects worth $500 million. Most of the investment proposals are for hydropower projects, airports and roads, among others.
Khatiwada also said that the government was mulling over building a convention center to hold mega events.
