KATHMANDU, March 11: A 100-member team of Chinese photographers has arrived in Nepal to showcase culture, heritage and tourism.
The team arrived in Nepal on Monday as part of the 'Lens on Nepal 100 Chinese Photographers' programme jointly organized by China-Nepal Friendship Forum, Nepal Tourism Board and National Forum of Photo Journalists (NFPJ).
Welcoming the team, Lawmaker Urmila Majhi and Manager of Nepal Tourism Board Surya Thapaliya said that the arrival of Chinese photographers was an important achievement for the promotion of tourism in Nepal.

On the occasion, the musical group Sukarma gave its welcome performance.
The Chinese photographers' visit programme has been organized to mark the Visit Nepal Year 2025 and the 70th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic relations.
Forum coordinator Dr Kalyan Raj Sharma said that the event would be an important opportunity for the promotion of tourism in Nepal. The photographers will visit various touristic, cultural and historical sites of Nepal and promote its natural beauty and cultural heritage around the world through photos.
It is believed that such programs will contribute to strengthening Nepal-China relations and taking Nepal tourism to a new height.
