KATHMANDU, June 20: Some 10 doctors arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on the charge of using fake certificates for medical studies have moved Supreme Court (SC) demanding their release.
They have claimed that the arrest was made illegally and have asked the court to order their release on general dates.

Those filing a joint application at the apex court are Nimesh Pal Raman, Pannalal Prasad Patel, Binita Mandal, Punam Karna, Ishradul Haq, Shreeram Ghimire, Ram Kumar Pradhan, Santosh Kumar Jha and Mohammad Ramallah.
The plaintiffs have demanded the court declare the arrest illegal and order authorities not to make such arrest in coming days.
Of late, police have arrested scores of ‘fake’ doctors from different parts of the country as per the campaign ‘Operation Quack’.
