KATHMANDU, Nov 17: On its fourth day of monitoring clinics and pharmacies in the Kathmandu Valley, the Ministry of Health (MoH) sealed 10 clinics and pharmacies in Kathmandu and Lalitpur on Thursday.
According to the MoH, the two teams assigned by the MoH raided 29 clinics and pharmacies including 11 in Lalitpur and 18 in Kathmandu. Seven clinics in Lalitpur and three in Kathmandu have been sealed for operating without regustration or without renewal, said Dr Ram Raj Panthi, deputy health administrator at the ministry's Management and Evaluation Division.
Two teams led by Dr Panthi in Kathmandu and under-secretary Bhavanath Koirala of Monitoring and Evaluation Division inspected clinics and pharmacies in the Gongabu area of Kathmandu and Manbhavan area of Lalitpur respectively.
Govt seals 37 clinics in Valley in five days
The sealed clinics and pharmacies in Lalitpur are Royal Ayurved, Banjana Ayurved Clinic and Pharmacy, Saswat Ayurved Bhavan, Ayush Panchkarma Health Home and Research Center, Smile Dental Care, Better Smile The Dental Care Clinic and Allied Dental Hospital.
Similarly, All Smile Dental Home, Allied Health Clinic and Acupressure Health care were sealed in Kathmandu.
The MoH sealed 30 clinics and pharmacies in four days while it monitored more than 100 clinics and pharmacies in the Kathmandu Valley.
