This story remained buried the last few years but we chanced upon it today while talking to someone very close to Salman and Kat--- and need to share it with you now.
The episode happened in 2009 – Ranbir and Kat had fallen in love during the shoot of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani but hadn't made it official yet.
When murmurs of Ranbir-Kat's love affair reached Salman, the actor boiled with rage.
One night, having downed more than a few drinks, a furious Salman landed up at Guldev Sagar (Kat's residence in Bandra) to make Kat see reason.
"Don't go with Ranbir. You're making a mistake, he will leave you heartbroken," he told Kat in no uncertain terms.
Over the next few hours, on and on his rant went about how the actress was taking the wrong decision. He shouted at her, cajoled her, pleaded her – but the much-in-love Kat wouldn't have any of it.
Finally, Salman, having given up all hope, told Kat, "You'll regret leaving me for Ranbir" and walked out of the apartment.
By then, we hear, the drinks had started to have their 'effect', and Bollywood's Bhai needed help to make his way back to the car.
His manager and his driver rushed to his side and tried to stop him from making a scene. But Salman didn't give a damn – he was still yelling his lungs out, cursing Kat and her love for Ranbir.
Somehow the manager and the driver managed to get him inside the vehicle, and drove off.
