KATHMANDU, March 8: Brazilian Disc Jockey (DJ) Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo, known by his stage name DJ Alok, performed at LOD Club in Thamel on Friday evening.
Ranked as the fourth best DJ in the world, Alok flew in on a chartered plane for his performance, having also been performing at locations across India.
He took the stage at 12:30 am, welcomed by an excited crowd and the club's vibrant lights.

The club's director, Bhupen Kunwar, shared that they had brought an artist of such a level for the first time. "This is the first time an artist has arrived on a chartered plane," he said, "A significant number of people came to watch DJ Alok's performance."
Kunwar also revealed plans to bring many more international artists in the future. He added that the show would attract not only club enthusiasts and music lovers but also promote tourism in Nepal.
The club charged 2,000 for the dance floor and 3,000 for the VIP area for the concert. LOD has previously hosted artists like Bollywood's Neha Kakkar, Armaan Malik, and Indian Idol's Pawandeep.
Artists such as Timmy Trumpet, Topic, Stebin Ben, and Jyotika Tangri have also performed there.
LOD Club (Lord of the Drinks), ranks 49th, 52nd, and 50th among the best clubs in the world in the past three years.
DJ Mag, based in the UK, ranked LOD Club 50th in the top 100 clubs for 2024. The club has also earned a nomination for 2025.
