Workers not paid for 2 years

PARASI, July 19: Workers of Bhrikuti Pulp and Paper Factory based in Gaindakot of Nawalparasi have warned of agitations saying that they were not provided with their monthly salary for two years.



A meeting of workers held recently has piled pressure on joint struggle committee to announce pressure generation programme demanding their salary.[break]



There are 333 permanent workers and 16 security guards at the factory.



Most of the laborers said that they would elect new leadership if the struggle committee fails to announce fresh struggle programme to guarantee workers´ salary.



On the occasion, coordinator of the struggle committee Ram Sharma said the protest programmes would continue until they get salary.
