When unruly cabbie faced music…..

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: Maila Singh Tamang, a taxi driver from Temal-3 in Kavre district, was waiting for passengers in front of Civil Mall in Kathmandu when four people asked him for drive to Bouddha on Wednesday evening.

In no contrary to other cab drivers in the capital city, Tamang refused to go on meter and demanded Rs 400 from the passengers.

To his bad luck, the passengers turned out to be Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Tejendra KC, Sub Inspector of Police Gunanidhi Khakurel and Constables Nabaraj Adhikari and Goma KC.

Plainclothes Traffic Police personnel then find out that Tamang had also tempered the meter. He was then sent to Metropolitan Traffic Police Office along with his taxi, Ba 1 Ja 5246, for action.
