Warner on paternity leave, to miss rest of India series

PERTH, Australia, Jan 13: Australia vice-captain David Warner will miss the remainder of the one-day international series against India because his wife is due to give birth to the couple's second child.

Cricket Australia said on Wednesday that Usman Khawaja, who has three test centuries this season, has been drafted into the squad following Australia's five-wicket win in Perth the day before.Khawaja will join the squad in Brisbane for the next match of the series on Friday.

Khawaja's most recent innings was a 42-ball 62 for the Sydney Thunder against the Melbourne Renegades in a Twenty20. That followed 144 and 56 against the West Indies in the Melbourne test, and 174 and 121 in the test series against New Zealand.
