Kailali district was completely shut down on Friday as protestors staged protests demanding that the nine districts in the far-west remain undivided in the federal set up.Business hubs including Dhangadi, Attariya, Lamki and Tikapur, among others, were closed due to the banda on Friday. Educational institutions and industries too remained closed. Though the government office were functional, the main gates were closed.
The long-route vehicles in the far-west region stayed off the roads.
