Bhandari, who is also the UML´s vice chair, said the former royalties are trying to take advantage of the fluid political situation created due to the parliament´s failure to elect a new prime minister. She clearly said that the UML should vote for Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Ram Chandra Paudel as the Maoists were not sincere toward implementing the Comprehensive Peace Accord. "UML should support a democratic force," she said.
