UDMF meet underway for common stance

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: A meeting of agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) got underway at Singhadurbar-based parliamentary office of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal on Wednesday.

The meeting is expected to come up with a common stance to put forth in the meeting with top leaders of the major three political parties scheduled later today.The demarcation of the territory is the bottom line of the meeting today, a leader privy to UDMF's stance said. The UDMF is for two provinces in Tarai region.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Tarai Madhes Sandbhawana Party Mahendra Ray said that the Madhesi-parties alliance will exert pressure on government on the implementation of the past pacts with them. "There are no new demands of the front," he added, "We want the government implement the past pacts with us."
