UDMF leaders demand joint meeting

KATHMANDU, Feb 29: Second rung leaders of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) have urged the leadership to call a joint meeting of Madhesi lawmakers and office bearers to discuss the alliance´s strategy.



A meeting of Sahayog ra Sampadan Samiti, UDMF´s body entrusted with offering suggestions on key political issues to the alliance, on Wednesday concluded that a joint meeting of Madhesi lawmakers and office bearers should review the present political situation. [break]



“We also decided to urge our leadership to organize mass gatherings at various five places across the Tarai to inform the people about the views of Madhesi alliance as well as of other political parties regarding the issues raised by Madhesi parties,” said Vice-chairman of Sadbhawana Party and member of the Samiti Laxman Lal Karna.



He said the Madhesi leadership would fix the dates for the joint meeting and mass gatherings.
