Speaking at a programme organized by the Young Communist League or YCL here on Wednesday he said the efforts to revoke the cases that took place during the conflict and to stop popular candidates from taking part in the CA elections would invite a revolt in the country. [break]
Any such case should be resolved through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, he added.
Arguing that a failure to win a two-third majority for the progressive forces led to the inability of the first CA drafting the new constitution, Chairman Prachanda urged the youth to ensure that the progressive forces do not miss out on it this time around.
He said the CA election is a big opportunity to carve out the right destiny and future for Nepal and Nepali people, and thus it must be successful.
Maoist leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai said YCL needs to repeat its role of the past in making the CA elections successful.
The party is now moving ahead in the path of completing the remaining task of the popular revolution, he added.
He also warned to taking action if the conflict-time cases were revoked any leader or cadre arrested.
Another leader of the party Narayan Kaji Shrestha said the role of YCL is important in preserving national freedom and for bringing epoch-making changes to the society.
Youth in-charge of the party Barsha Man Pun and YCL Coordinator Ganesh Man Pun also stressed the importance of YCL in the upcoming CA elections.
