KATHMANDU, June 9 : The Metropolitan Police Sector, New Bus Park has confiscated 2,000 litres illicit home-made alcohol from various hotels and pubs in Gongabu area on Friday.
A team led by Sub-Inspector Prakash Bahadur Rauthad raided the hotels, restaurants and pubs in Gongabu area on Friday night and confiscated this amount of illicit home-made liquor.
Police destroy 14,660 litres home-brewed liquor
Chief of the Metropolitan Sector New Bus Park, Mohan Bikram KC said a campaign has been started to free the Gongabu area of such illicit home-brewed alcohol as they found that alcohol consumption is the reason for the increasing disputes and quarrels which lead to violence and murder.
Before this also the Sector had confiscated and destroyed nearly 5,000 litres of home-made liquor from this area. RSS
