Now, the CNP has two males and three female swamp deer following the death of two. The officials have planned to translocate 25 swamp deer including five males from the Shuklaphanta.

The CNP has assumed that extreme pressure on swamp deer due to long hours of travel and rising temperature could have caused the death of the highly-sensitive wild animal.

Information Officer of the CPN, Nurendra Aryal, said that the translocation process of the swamp deer is postponed for the time being due to rise in mercury as well as officials' deployment in the local level polls.

Director General Khadka shared that other swamp deer shall be brought during appropriate time of the winter season.

The translocation process of swamp deer was started from April 26. RSS
