BIRGUNJ, June 28: Two teenagers were killed in a tractor accident in Bagahi, Birgunj Metropolitan City-28 of Birgunj, on Friday afternoon. The accident occurred when the tractor carrying soil overturned while en route from the Bhedaha River to Bagahi.
The tractor, whose registration number plate was reportedly missing, lost control and plunged about 15 feet off the road. A 17-year-old Akash Patel, who was driving the tractor, and 16-year-old Golu Patel, a passenger, died on the spot after being crushed under the overturned vehicle, the chief of the District Police Office, Parsa, Superintendent of Police (SP) Gautam Mishra, said.
Two killed in tractor accident
A nineteen-year-old, Jaykumar Mandal of Inarwa of Birgunj Metropolitan City-28, was seriously injured in the accident.
The deceased's bodies have been sent to Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for postmortem, and further investigation into the accident is underway, SP Mishra said.
