TAPLEJUNG, Sept 7: A massive landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in Taplejung district killed two people on Sunday night.
The staffers of Naagdeva Hydropower Project in Sirijunga Rural Municipality-4 in the district were killed as the landslide debris buried the power house.

According to Chief District Police Officer DSP Mahendra Kumar Shrestha, the dead bodies were recovered earlier on Monday morning. A team of local police personnel along with local people retrieved dead bodies on Monday morning.
The deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Raju Limbu and 55-year-old Bishnu Das Thebe. They both hail from Sirijunga Rural Municipality.
