Two arrested for assaulting police officers

Police arrested two individuals for misbehaving with officers on regular patrol. The incident took place on February 7 in Thamel, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26, when the suspects assaulted the police as they attempted to resolve a situation.

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Police arrested two individuals for misbehaving with officers on regular patrol. The incident took place on February 7 in Thamel, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26, when the suspects assaulted the police as they attempted to resolve a situation. 


Superintendent of Police Apilraj Bohara, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police Range, stated that officers apprehended Dinesh Sigdel from Taplejung and Ramesh Phulara from Dadeldhura near Tribhuvan International Airport on February 10. The suspects also vandalized a police patrol motorcycle during the altercation.

Police secured a five-day extension from the Kathmandu District Administration Office to continue the investigation under the offense of indecent behavior. Officers have detained both individuals at the Durbar Marg Police Circle for further inquiry.
