KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday increased marginally by 7.39 points to close at 2,614.07 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,606.67 points, initially dropping to as low as 2,606.33 points in the first three minutes, while it escalated to the day’s high at 2,620.19 points in the next 80 minutes. In the next one hour, the index again fell around 14 points and it reached the day’s low at 2,606.1 points in the last six minutes.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover
Non-life insurance plunged by the largest of 19.50 points as a total of four groups were recorded as losers. Of the nine gainers, life insurance surged by the largest of 108.35 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies increased 0.30 points. The daily turnover declined to a pathetic of Rs 3.75 billion from Rs 4.66 billion.
Among the individual companies, 148 were gainers while 101 were recorded as losers. Ngadi Group Power Ltd had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 319.20 million.
Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha stood as the topmost gainer. Him Star Urja Company Limited had the highest fall of 3.88 percent in its market price.
