Top leaders meet with CA Chairman

KATHMANDU, April 5: Top leaders of major three political parties held informal meeting with the Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang Tuesday morning regarding the disputes appeared in the constitutional committee and ways to reshuffle the structure of the sub-committee.



Emerging from the meeting, UCPN (Maoist) vice chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed journalists that discussions were held to end the stalemate seen in the constitutional committee including other issues. [break]



The meeting was held at the secretariat of the legislature-parliament committee on the State Affairs.



Shrestha said the meeting dwelt on the proposal floated by the Maoists regarding the structure change of the sub-committee and contents of the constitution writing.



Shrestha expressed confidence that next meeting of the top leaders scheduled for tomorrow morning will reach a conclusion over the issues.



Prime Minister and chairman of CPN (UML) Jhala Nath Khanal, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ´Prachanda´ and parliamentary party leader of Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Poudel were present in the meeting.
