Top leaders hold talks with President

KATHAMNDU, May 26: Top leaders of main three political parties on Thursday morning  held talks with President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at his office in Shital Niwas.



Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, also the chairman of CPN-UML, Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala and UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal were present in the meeting.[break]



It is learned that the President inquired about the developments of the current political issues including CA terms extension, national consensus and constitution drafting and urged all the parties to move ahead with national consensus.



Speaking with the media person Khanal said that the parties will try to forge consensus on the issues by Thursday.



After emerging from the meeting Sushil Koirala said, "Until and unless the 10-pt demand is addressed we wont support the CA term extension."
