KATHMANDU, May 21: Three individuals have sustained injuries as a public bus that lost control in Kathmandu's Gaushala area rammed seven other vehicles on Wednesday. The bus collided with seven other vehicles at Pingalasthan.
The bus (Ba 5 Kha 6735) belonging to the Baba Gokarneshwor Yatayat was heading towards the airport when it crashed into other vehicles including a Hiace microbus (Ba 5 Kha 731), multiple cars (Bagmati Pra-01-026 Cha) (BAC 9773), (Ba 16 Ch 4452), two motorcycles (Pra-2-01-003 P 1005), (Ba 51 Pa 22) and a scooter (Bagmati Pra-02-046 P 4819).

The victims include Raj Kumar Shrestha, 32, from Jwalamukhi Municipality-1, Dhading, who was riding the motorcycle (Ba 51 Pa 22); pillion rider Bikash Kattel, 22, from Tadi Municipality-2, Nuwakot, and Shailendra Rai, 37, from Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-5, Khotang, who was riding the motorcycle (Pra-2-01-003 P 1005).
All those injured were taken to the KMC hospital for treatment. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
