Three arrested over the Sabaila row that killed two

JANAKPURDHAM, March 23: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the killing of two people in a row that ensued from a controversy over school management committee at Sabaila of Dhanusha on Monday.

The arrested are Mahendra Yadav, Mahesh Yadav and Bihari Yadav, confirmed Sabaila Police source. "A group of 40 people equipped with batons had suddenly bounced on participants of the meeting while discussing for new leadership of school management committee in local Madan Ashrit Lower Secondary School at around 9.00 pm", said injured Ram Bali Saha, former VDC Chairperson.


"Critically injured Ram Sewak Raut, 45, passed away", he informed.

He further said most of the colleagues had fled the scene to save their lives in the attack during the meeting but they assaulted Ram Sewak in a reckless manner.

After the incident CPN-UML leaders and cadres of the village have been out of contact.

Meanwhile, CPN-UML village unit committee member Ram Prakash Yadav was shot dead after around three hours of the dispute.

According to deceased Yadav's son-in-law Asha Devi, some people subdued and subsequently gunned him down at around 1:00 am. Yadav's dead body was found nearby a canal close to his home. Police have been mobilized in and around the site following the incident. RSS
