KATHMANDU, July 8: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has said those favoring monarchy and unitary system are bent on fishing in troubled waters in the aftermath of the dissolution of Constituent Assembly (CA).

Addressing the 37th convocation ceremony of the country’s oldest Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur on Sunday, the PM said royalist and anti-federalist forces are trying to take advantage of the present transitional situation, in which forces supporting federalism themselves are divided over the issue of identity-based federalism. PM Bhattarai also stressed on the need to send a clear message that the comeback of monarchy in Nepal is not tenable and that the country will ever advance on the path of republic, federalism, economic prosperity and social justice, now on.

He also underscored unity among progressive forces to fluke anti-federalists in their intent and called upon all the youths with higher education to stand for a governance system that is devoid of any kinds of discrimination based on class, caste, sex and region.
