KATHMANDU, March 28: Minister for Home Sudan Gurung has said that the arrests of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak are not an act of revenge, but the beginning of justice.



Taking to social media on Saturday, “A commitment is a commitment. No one is above the law. We have taken former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak into custody. This is not revenge against anyone, but the beginning of justice. I believe the country will now move in a new direction.”

Home Minister Gurung expressed confidence that the country is set to take a new course following the development.


The newly formed government led by PM Balendra Shah (Balen), in its first cabinet meeting, had decided to implement the report prepared by the probe commission led by former Special Court Chair Gauri Bahadur Karki.
