Chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang jointly inaugurated the rally, which also pressed for early conclusion of peace process and constitution drafting.
Around 300 participants took part in the rally, which started at around 8 am from Thankot.
The participants of the rally were greeted by top political and civil society leaders.
The government is formally inaugurating the NTY 2011 on January 14. Today´s program was a part of the series of events that NTB is holding in a bid to promote the NTY.
