Nepal Telecom (NT), Ncell and United Telecom Limited (UTL) have announced festive offers on voice, SMS as well as data service as part of their promotional campaign.State-owned NT has announced to provide SIM/RUIM card at lower price, provide discount of 15 paisa and 10 paisa on pre-paid and post-paid, respectively, on regular call rates which is Rs 1.5 for pre-paid and Rs 1 per minute for post-paid users. Similarly, it is giving additional 100 calls free on monthly rental charge for PSTN users. NT has also announced discounted rates for WiMAX service.
The state-owned operator has also announced to provide SIM/ RUIM card with talk value of Rs 50 at just Rs 90 from October 18. At present, it has been selling SIM/RUIM with talk value of Rs 100 at Rs 200. Similarly, NT users will get free SMS equivalent to the number of SMS that they sent a day earlier. NT is providing 50 MB data to all its post-paid users as part of its festive offer. Likewise, it is offering 200 MB data for pre-paid and post-paid users at Rs 50 and 300 MB data for CDMA pre-paid and post-paid at Rs 50 from October 20 to October 26 (Fulpati to Purnima). All the prices, except the price of SIM/RUIM cards are exclusive of applicable taxes.
Buddhi Acharya, managing director of NT, said that the offers are part of their promotional campaign targeting the festive season. "We have announced offers and discounts in all our services," he added.
Similarly, Ncell has recently introduced Ramailo SMS in which prepaid customers can send unlimited SMS to any other Ncell number at 10 paisa per SMS. The offer introduced from October 8 will be valid for three months.
Milan Sharma, corporate communication expert of Ncell, said that they were also coming up with special offers and packages mainly for the festive period.
Likewise, UTL has launched 'UTL Chaad Parba Yojana, Bonus Talktime ko Khajana' offer under which it is giving customers bonus talk time worth Rs 900 to Rs 3,600. Suyash Pradhan, chief finance officer of UTL, said customers buying SIM worth Rs 100 under Economy package will get Rs 900 bonus talk time. Similarly, those buying SIM card worth Rs 200 under Social package will get bonus talk time worth Rs 200 and customers buying SIM card worth Rs 300 under Business package will get bonus talk time worth Rs 3,600.
The offer is valid from Oct 11 till December 15, according to a statement issued by UTL.
