KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Sujendra Prasad Shrestha is on top of the table with 4.5 points after completion of fourth and fifth round matches played on Wednesday in the ongoing Makhan Rating Chess Tournament organized by Makhan Chess Club.
Sujendra defeated former Nepal champion Punyaman Karmacharya in the fifth and FIDE Master Manish Hamal in the fourth round.
Similarly, Manish, Punyaman, Nabin Tandukar, Ganeshman Duwal and Sajan Pandey are jointly in the second place with four points apiece.
Likewise, Uttam Raj Thapa, Rupesh Jaiswal, Kamal Shrestha, Shyam Sundar Shrestha, Niraj Niraula, and Prachandaman Malakar have added 3.5 points in their kitty to secure the third place jointly.
Royal into Nagarik T20 Cricket final
NEPALGUNJ, Feb 17: Royal Sports Club entered into the final of the Nagarik T20 Cricket Tournament here on Wednesday.
Royal defeated Valley Junior Cricket Club, Dang, by eight wickets. Royal met the 130-run target set by Valley in 11.4 overs losing two wickets.
Royal´s bowlers Shambhu Khan and Rijwan Ansari took three wickets each and Shambhu was adjudged man of the match.
