In the boys´ section, Chhimi Gyaljen´s 19 points guided Rupy´s to a 39-35 victory over the host Ace Institute in extra time. After the regular time ended 32-32, Rupy´s scored 7-3 in the extra time to take the title. Biplav Malla of Rupy´s and Maya Rai of Saipal were adjudged the most valuable players of the tournament.[break]
Neologian wins gold in TT
KATHMANDU: Neologian School on Tuesday won gold in the boys´ team event during the Third Krishna Dhoj Memorial Invitational Valley-wide Inter-college and School Table Tennis Tournament. Neologian defeated Mount Valley 3-1 for gold. In U-14 girls´ singles, Iva Raut of Bijeshwari School beat Soni Bhila of Mount Valley 11-6, 8-11, 11-6 and 11-9 to take gold.
In the final of U-16 girls´ singles, Sonu Thapa Magar of Neologian beat Renuka Rana Magar of Bijeshwari 11-9, 11-8 and 11-6. In U-10 girls´ singles, Dikshya Tamang of AVM defeated her school mate Lasata Maharjan 11-1, 11-7 and 11-8 to claim the gold medal. Morgan International College won gold in girls´ team event of College section defeating Oxbridge.
