According to taekwondo coach and international referee Anuyaz Gautam, Pradhan won the gold medal in the fin weight category defeating a Chinese player. Himalayan Body Building Competition in October
KATHMANDU: Nepal Body Building and Fitness Association informed that the Fourth Mr Himalayan Body Building Competition will be conducted in Dharan on October 12 and 13. Issuing a press statement, the organizers informed that event was postponed due to the Sixth National Games. The tournament will be conducted in seven different weight categories.
Rokaya bags first gold for Nepal
KATHMANDU: Sudin Rokaya bagged first gold for Nepal on Friday in the Fourth Indo-Nepal Sotokan Karate Tournament being held at National Sports Council covered hall. Rokaya defeated Pratik Tripathi of Nepal in the final of Mini Sub junior boy´s 20 kg weight category for the gold. In 25 kg category Aditi Subedi and Abhijit Singh advanced to the final.
In 30 kg category Abhinash Dahal and Santanu fixed final spot. In sub junior boy´s 25 kg category Nabin Pun and Abhunab Jakhar; in 30 kg Abhusan Rajthala and Karan Bir; in 35 kg Suni Gholi and Birat; in 40kg Ashish Bhandari and Amit Gill; and in 45kg Kals Sharma and Harpit Singh advanced to the finals. In junior boys´ 35kg category Ashish Pal and Jagjit Singh, in 45kg Akash Pal and Amar Singh, and in 55 kg Nirajan Shrestha and Rahul advanced to the final. Altogether 316 players from Nepal and India are competing for 45 gold medals.
