Gurung scored in a superb finish to shock Dempo. Tuboi curled in a low cross inside the box, and Gurung just got ahead of Cressan to win the ball, and didn´t give any chance to Dempo goalkeeper Tyson with a low drive from 12 yards.
A controversial Bedemi own goal brought the scores level. However, with Dempo down to 10 men after Anwar was sent off, Lajong scored in the second half through a stunning Tuboi bicycle kick to win the game.
Volleyball team for SAG
KATHMANDU, Dec 24: Nepal Volleyball Association named 12 male players for the 11th South Asian Games set to be held in Dhaka.
Nepal Police Club´s Jhom Bahadur Thapa, Saroj Shrestha, Prem Bahadur Shahi and Sanjay Aryal have been picked for the team. Likewise, Kailash Dutta Bhatta and Sunil Kumar Shrestha of Armed Police Force and Roman Shrestha of central region secured berth in the national team.
NPC´s Im Bahadur Magar, Bharat Bahadur Shah and Rama Nanda Sigh and APF´s Khushi Chaudhary are also in the team. Tahal Singh Thapa Magar of eastern region completes the 12-man list.
Kabaddi players named for SAG
KATHMANDU, Dec 24: Nepal Kabaddi Association named 12 players each in men´s and women´s teams for the 11th South Asian Games scheduled to be held in Dhaka from January 29 to February 9.
In men´s team, Dambar Baduwal, Jaya Bohara, Mahesh Bohara, Man Bahadur Ranabhat, Bhuwan Khadka, Hem Bahadur Basnet, Sanjay Shrestha, Kewal Raut, Munna Patel, Shyam Krishna Basukala, Naresh Chaudhary and Dharme Sunar complete the list.
Likewise, Sanjana Tamang, Saraswati Thapa, Sangita Gautam, Netra Kumari Thapa, Shanti Malla, Nitu Gurung, Kos Maya Basnet, Meenu Gurung, Sushila Magar, Kalpana Shrestha, Ambika Mandal and Ramita Thapa have been picked in the women´s team for SAG.
