A 10-year-old Laxmi, son of Sitaram Bhagat of Auraiya VDC, Ward No. 2 died after a snake had bitten him while he was sleeping.[break]
He died while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Gaur.
Similarly, 18-month-old Archana Kumari, daughter of Madan Saha died after a snake bit her on Wednesday evening while she was playing at the house yard.
She died on the way to Hospital, the District Police Office, Gaur, said.
Meanwhile, the house of Khurshid Miya of Jayanagar VDC, Ward No. 7 in Rautahat district was completely destroyed on Wednesday night after his house caught fire.
Cattle were also killed by the fire.
Police suspect that the house caught fire which was lit at a cowshed to ward off mosquitoes.
Property worth Rs.136,000 was completely destroyed by the fire, the victim said.
