Six nat'l cricketers to play charity match in Hong Kong

KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Six Nepali national cricketers will represent six different teams in Hong Kong during a charity cricket match -- Sixes For Nepal -- to be organized by Hong Kong Cricket Association (HKCA) on Saturday and Sunday.



The HKCA has named six teams after the name of six earthquake hit districts of Nepal for charity cricket tournament.

Siddhant Lohani will play for Nuwakot and Sompal Kami for Gorkha. Similarly, Sharad Vesawkar will play for Sindhupalchowk and Shakti Gauchan for Dolkha.


Likewise, Basant Regmi will represent Rasuwa, while Bhaban Karki has been picked for the Dhading team. Each of these teams comprise five local players and one Nepali national cricketer.


According to HKCA, it hoped to attract sponsors and community support to raise funds this weekend for Unicef's Nepal Appeal and Operation Breakthrough.
