He was suffering from kidney complications and was admitted to the hospital weeks ago. [break]
Pradhan had earlier worked as editor of The Himalayan Times English daily. He had also worked as chief editor in the English news services at the state-owned Rastriya Samachar Samiti from 1972 to 1992.
Pradhan, whose career in Nepali journalism spaned for over four decades, was also a founding member of the Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ).
His final rites were performed at the Pashupati Aryaghat Saturday. Pradhan is survived by wife, a son and a daughter.
