KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Pearson, an international learning company, announced on Wednesday the launch of a new academic test center (PTE Academic) in Kathmandu.

"The establishment of the new center will follow Pearson's aim to augment the reach of PTE Academic centers and impart assistance and easy access to a globally-recognized, fast and reliable English language proficiency test for immigration and study abroad," a statement from the company said.
PTE Academic is a computer-based language test. Vikas Singh, managing director of Pearson India, said: “We are confident that our new center in Kathmandu will help students enhance their English language skills and brighten their chances to make it to abroad.”
