KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Krishna Raj Pokharel, the executive director of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), has resigned. His resignation will take effect from mid-January.
Pokharel, who previously headed the Supervision Department, informed the SEBON board of directors and staff that his decision to resign was due to personal reasons.

After his appointment as the executive director on November 2, 2022, SEBON Chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha transferred Pokharel from the Policy, Research, and Training Department to the Supervision Department in mid-November. The Supervision Department is considered the most prestigious within SEBON.
