Search continues at Kaligandaki River

MYAGDI, July 23: Search for the persons, who went missing after a taxi they were travelling plunged into the Kaligandaki River, is on.



At least seven persons including three of a same family went missing when the taxi (Ga 1 Ja 1239) en route to Beni from Galeswor plunged into the River in from Jaleswor of Beni-Jomsom road section on Friday. [break]



The search work being carried out by police and relatives of the missing is troubled due to the high flow of water in the River, said Deputy Superintendant of Police Diensh Kumar Acharya.



Among the missing are taxi driver Bed Prasad Subedi, 37, of Galeswor, Impen Sherpuja, 10, Dal Bahadur Tilija, 47 and Manju Garbuja, 14, of Histan Gharamdi. Likewise, Chak Bahadur Garbuja, 32, Hemmaya Garbuja, 28 and Deepa Garbuja, 13, among the missing, are of a same family.



Entire Galeswor bazaar has plunged into grief after the incident.
