KATHMANDU, Jan 31: The trailer of thriller drama ‘Sadhe Saat’ was officially launched on Friday at 7:30 in the evening.
The film portrays the physical and psychoanalytical struggle of a photo journalist while reporting for political riot in the tarai region. Renowned singer Satya Raj Acharya is one of the pivotal characters of the film.

Along with him, artists Menuka Pradhan, Sunil Thapa, Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Supriya Katwal, Shishir Bangdel can be seen in the film. Written and directed by Samten Bhutia, the film’s trailer captures viewer’s attention through extreme scenes of riot. Senior journalist Yubaraj Ghimire is said to have a cameo in the film.
As per the Federation of Nepali Jounalists and International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), Madhesh was portrayed as a challenging and unsafe zone for reporting, and the movie extensively revolves around the same issue. Sunil Thapa, Satya Raj and Sworoop Acharya, Naresh dev Panta, DJ Santosh and Samten Bhutia have jointly produced the film.
The film is slated to release on February 23.
