KATHMANDU, June 16: Sadbhavana Party has reiterated that it may quit the Constituent Assembly and launch protest if the major political parties try to promulgate constitution without delineating and naming the federal provinces.
The party organizing a press conference on Tuesday argued that the 16-point agreement between the four major parties is unconstitutional.
UML candidate Mahato elected HoR member from Mahottari-1
"In the name of fast-tracking the constitution drafting process, the 16-point deal has not only hijacked the CA's jurisdiction but has also thrown the issue of federalism on the backburner," stated Sadbhavana Chairman Rajendra Mahato.
Mahato termed the 16-point deal a plot against federalism and said that his party has no option other than launching street protests.
