NAWALPUR, March 8: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Bikram Khanal has been elected a member of the House of Representatives in Nawalparasi West-1.



According to the final count announced this morning, he was elected by securing 45,241 votes. His nearest rival was Nepali Congress candidate Binod Kumar Chaudhary, who lost by a margin of 35,739 votes. Chaudhary received 9,502 votes.

CPN-UML candidate Ram Prasad Pandey received 7,956 votes, and Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal's Hridayesh Tripathi received 7,832 votes, according to the Office of the Returning Officer.
