KATHMANDU, April 7: The chief whip of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Gyanendra Shahi has called for demonstrating unity along with national flags on Tuesday.
In a social media post, Shahi clarified that despite the administration not granting permission for the protest, the RPP's program will advance without a halt.

He wrote, “These corrupt individuals have lost their patriotism and nationalism. The leaders of the plundering system are so scared. They are trembling with fear over just one program and have not even granted permission. Despite this, the RPP’s program will not be stopped. On April 8, we will unite along with the national flag to raise our voices against the traitors who sell youth, sell the country, and commit corruption from the small to the big.”
The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has banned the RPP Bagmati Provincial Working Committee from organizing a proposed general meeting at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu.
RPP had planned to hold a mass meeting at Bhrikuti Mandap on April 7. However, due to ongoing events such as the teachers' protest and the Rastriya Janamorcha party's program at the same location, the DAO Kathmandu refused permission, citing security concerns.
