KATHMANDU, March 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's statement accusing former King Gyanendra Shah of violating the constitution has sparked opposition from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
While addressing the House of Representatives on Monday, PM Oli made the remark regarding the former king’s alleged constitutional violation. Following this, the RPP voiced its opposition.
‘Former King should stay within boundaries of constitution’

As PM Oli was speaking, RPP MP Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi caused a commotion. RPP lawmakers stood up and continued to create noise. During his address, PM Oli warned RPP MPs not to obstruct parliament by disrupting proceedings.
He said, “Everyone in this country must respect the constitution. The system must be respected. Making noise does not give anyone the right to disrupt parliament, politics, or the country.”
