RPP-N Chairman Kamal Thapa, while speaking to the media persons in Pokhara on Wednesday, said his party is planning to launch the protest program starting from February 17 to 23.
As per the program, a memorandum will be submitted to the prime minister on the first day to press for early elections of local bodies including DDCs, VDCs and municipalities of all 75 districts and padlock of the offices of all the DDCs and municipalities on February 21.
Similarly, on the last day of the program RPP-N plans to padlock all the VDC offices of the country.
"The development process has been stagnant since the last fourteen years in the absence of the elected officials, calling for their presence to conduct development efforts," Thapa said.
RPP-N also has also planned chariot processions on March 31, demanding Nepal be declared as a Hindu country.
The procession will start in Janakpur and end in Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu before oganizing such programs in Lumbini and Pokhara.
