KATHMANDU, July 7: Communist Party Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) Chairman Mohan Baidya said on Saturday that the new power CPN-M has come into existence to give the country a political outlet.

Speaking at a program organized by the Reporters Club, he said at the time when the country´s situation is deteriorating as CPN-UML and Nepali Congress have been fighting for power and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) and UCPN (Maoist) have been fighting to stick to the power, CPN-M has been formed to save the country from the crisis. At the program, Baidya also accused Matrika Prasad Koirala, BP Koirala and Girija Prasad Koirala of cheating the citizens of Nepal.

He also criticized CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal of being insincere towards people for power. CPN-M chairman also accused Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai of signing BIPPA with India to extend his tenure as prime minister.

Criticizing the government’s plan to handover security responsibility of Tribhuvan International Airport to India, he said, such an act is a threat towards country´s sovereignty.

He also opined that the country will get a political outlet only after round table discussion between all political parties, civil society activists and intellectuals of the country.
