KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Royal Nepal Golf Club (RNGC) overcame Gokarna Golf Club in the Caddie Match Play Golf Tournament at RNGC in Kathmandu on Monday.
RNGC earned a comfortable 7.3 points against 3.5 points scored by Gokarna. The caddies of two clubs played total of 11 matches.
Nepal to play its opening match with Oman

The RNGC pair comprising of Dinesh Nagarkoti and Ritesh Sigdel was the best winning team after beating pair of Deepak Rana and Suresh Shrestha by 8/7.
Similarly, RNGC pairs of Santosh Rokka and Rajendra Maharjan beat Narayan Chaulagain and Upendra Khadka 4/2, Bikash Gurung and Binod Tamang saw off Devendra Pandey and Umesh Paudel 7/5, Suresh Lama and Krishna Singh beat Subash Khatiwada and Prabendra Singh two-up. Krishna Nepal and Subash Ghising beat Bishnu Bhandari and Suman Lama 3/2, Kishan Kaliraj and Bidur Lama beat Krishna Murari Sapkota 3/2, and Sushma Koirala and Rabina Shrestha beat Rekha Rai and Rekha Lama 7/6.
Meanwhile Gokarna caddies, Bharat Magar and Raj Kumar Dhakal eased past Rohit Acharya and Dipesh Shrestha one-up, namesake Balaram Paudel A and B saw off Anil Tamang and Shyam Tamang one-up and Miriya Giri beat Tara Karki 7/5.
The winning team was awarded with Rs 20,000, medals and trophy. Altogether 42 caddies competed in the tournament organized by RNGC Caddie Committee.
