Rai will receive the award, carrying a purse of Rs. 25,000, on the World Mental Health Day on October 10.
“The decision to award Rai was taken for his impressive reporting on the situation of mental health on Nepalis returning home after foreign employment,” a press statement issued by NMHF stated.
In his news with headline workers return home with mental problem, Rai reported that 70 per cent of Nepali migrant workers return home with various mental illnesses.
