KATHMANDU, April 16: Republica Daily scribe Arjun Poudel has been awarded Health Reporting Award by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for his exceptional effort in reporting health issues of Nepal.

Poudel, a senior journalist at Republica, was awarded amid a function organized in the capital to mark World Health Day-2015 on Wednesday.
He was handed over the citation and an award trophy by Health Minister Khagaraj Adhikari.On the occasion, Nish Rai, of Antenna Foundation Nepal, was also awarded for her contribution on raising health issues through radio programs. Poudel has been covering health issues for the past eight years.
